Since 1990 GEOMETRIK has continued the labour of DISCOS ESPLENDOR GEOMETRICO: a label set up in 1985 by Gabriel Riaza and Andrés Noarbe to publish the works of the industrial cult band ESPLENDOR GEOMETRICO and of some of the most innovative electronic music artists.

During the eighties, DISCOS ESPLENDOR GEOMETRICO became the first Spanish independent label to exclusively edit electronic music, and to distribute it in many countries. Through DISCOS E.G., many works from prestigious artists and bands saw the light, as JORGE REYES, EDUARDO POLONIO, MACROMASSA, ASMUS TIETCHENS, CONRAD SCHNITZLER, MECANICA POPULAR, among others. Of course in addition to this we have the ESPLENDOR GEOMETRICO LPs, and also two compilations already historic and representative of the underground electronic scene in the eighties: Barcelona Sampler (1986) and LA ZONA (1988). A total of 22 LPs till the label was finished.

GEOMETRIK is born as a heir of Discos E.G. Its objective is the same: the publication of innovative electronic music, not tied down to the fashion tendencies or changes.

MICROGAMA is a new division of GEOMETRIK that starts in 1999, co-directed with Javier Hernando from Barcelona.
