MOST SIGNIFICANT BEAT
MSB is the name of the project, created in Rome in February of 1990, in which is involved Saverio Evangelista, along with Maurizio Martinucci. Saverio, a veteran Esplendor Geométrico´s fan, entered to the band at 1991, some years after knowing personally Arturo Lanz, and he started to work in both projects during the same year, through the "Control Remoto 1.0" shared CD.

The music of MSB consists initially of a techno with cybernetic connotations, danceable and with an excellent invoice, that it would be located in a nearby orbit to the one of Clock Dva or Lassigue Bendthaus. However, in "Control Remoto 2.0", released in 1994 after a previous german 12" called "Heart thinks wide", these references are less evident, and the sound becomes less direct and a bit more experimental.

Besides, Maurizio Martinucci is involved in other side projects, as TeZ or Nukleus, more oriented to the minimal, experimental, and repetitive techno and electro.

INDUCING TO THE PLEASURE DREAMS

If the electronic virus hadn´t affected him in his youth, Justo Bagüeste would now be touring jazz clubs and festivals, taking benefit of his conservatory years and reproducing with more or less fidelity some jazz standards. But Justo Bagüeste has always preferred to follow his own way and to take his saxo through non-conventional roads.

Since the beginning of his solo career with IPD (Inducing the Pleasure Dreams), Bagüeste has taken to the last consequences his passion for electronic music.
He first IPD´s work (edited by Geometrik and produced by Suso Saiz) was an imaginary journey through Madrid´s night, that has become a cult work for the ambient music enthusiasts, that see Bagüeste as one of the few Spanish artists introduced in this kind of sound. After this followed the miniCD "Radio Moog 96", simultaneously published in Spain and Germany.

The music of IPD is devised to be listened after dancing, in the chill out space. It´s for the public to rest their minds and bodies with Bagüeste´s sounds, who pretends to induce the audience to pleasant dreams. A way of expanding the mind and to alter the state of our conscience trought music.

In IPD are obvious the arrange of experiences of an artist that has one declared that he´s a specialist in "smoking under the water" and has explained some elements of his music declaring that in it is contained all his life, because music sounds. The experience with bands as Clónicos (one of the precursors of electronic sounds in Spain) or, more recently, forming part of Los Chatarreros de Sangre y Cielo of Corcobado, have led him to the project with which some media have labeled him as the "star of the Spanish chill out". A concept that he has offered in his live performances in spaces that go from the Nuevas Músicas festival in Navarra or the SGAE cycle to performances in Gracia Territori Sonor, the Koldo Michelena auditorium, the Actual festival in Logroño, Benicásim or Iznájar.

As part of the IPD collective, is important to remind the presence in his last CD "In Out" as in many of his live shows, of the producer Guillermo Quero, and the IPD discjockeys too: Morgana and Dynamo. The visual part in IPD shows is in charge of X Flash.

Discography:

  • Inducing the Pleasure Dreams (CD. Geometrik, 1995)
  • Radio Moog 96 (CD Single. Geometrik / Apocalyptic Vision, 1997)

NAD SPIRO
The musical exploration of this long running specialist in the sound of the guitar embraces a personal world of electronic adulteration, verbal transmissions and melodic submission, which entails a journey towards the most intoxicating extreme of audition.

Rosa Arruti, a constant reference in the most audacious edge of the musical scene in Barcelona, hasn´t stopped taking part in exceptional projects since her arrival to this city. In the late seventies she worked in unclassifiable groups, like Psicópatas de Norte and Tendre Tembles, and during the eighties made contributions to musical and literay projects of uncertain future in and out Barcelona´s underground circuits.

Founder member of MohoChemie (1992), she applied her efforts to the "propagation of mold" with a personal musical enterprise which edited numerous tapes with the organization Sikovris Rec. and was included in many compilations like Self, Alter Musiques Natives and Gracia Territori Sonor.
Their wrapping live sets in unconventional scenarios (as well in Sónar 97) got them a heavy assembly of passionate followers. During this period are situated as well her individual works as Nido GAZ, no so divulged.

More recently (1998) she hast formed the duet Setonil (tunel -musik) dedicated to evolve the scenic and acoustic possibilities of the guitar instrument. They project their sound live exclusively in harbour areas, events which they register in video (+/- destinations).

On with duets, she keeps a colaboration live with Alain Wergifosse and their proposal SpecOp, real time sound extorstion through electronica and non limited sound treatment.

She has recorded as well with Lars Müller and Krishna Goineau, has collaborated in sound-tracks for documentaries (Domestic Blisss) and has contributed to the edition of the writings of the remembered Zane Speer (Los Falsos Pseudoies).

A present she assumes more fully her clandestine musical role, focussing in her solo work as Nad Spiro and her band Pop Eye Spy (whit Miguel "Zap" Ibañez).

Victor Sol has produced in NYC Nad Spiro´s cd for Geometrik-Microgama, Nad Spiro vs. Enemigos de Helix, a work of exceptional densities, where she transports the listener with her personal instrumentaion and sound-fictions.
